Walkthrough: 7 - Power Up

Guess what! Valve has decided to be mean and give us two
can't-be-killed-with-weapons aliens in a row! Now it's the turn of
the Garg. In this level you have to reactivate the power, but the Power
Generator's quite a way away from where you start. Once you've done
that, you've got to kill the Garg and leave on a Tram. |

Watch the Garg kill the Military, but don't bother shooting it, just
run to the opposite corridor and turn left. Watch out for a pipe with
fire coming out of it's end. The bridge ahead will get destroyed, so
jump down and climb the ladder, killing the Headcrabs on the way. Break
the boards and enter the Track Control room. Listen to the Security
Guard and use the H.E.V. Unit if you need it.

| Make your way along the lower corridor, killing aliens as you go.
Watch the Alien Slaves kill themselves, then turn the valve and open the
door. Get ready for some Military. Climb the first ladder, then kill any
Military that have seen you. Climb the second ladder and kill any more
Military. Chuck a Grenade round the left hand corner to hopefully
destroy a Sensory gun, otherwise shoot it yourself. |
| Lots more Military up ahead. Kill the first ones you come to, then
go down to a Bunker with a First-Aid unit. Use it if you need to, then
quick-save the game. You then need to kill all the Military best you
can, hiding behind anything you can. Do not go down the lift yet. Once
you have killed them all, make your way round breaking boxes and finding
Health and Ammunition. If you need to, return to the Health Unit in the
Bunker and use the H.E.V Unit near the lift. |
| Press the button by the lift, but don't go down it. Go to the edge
and throw down a Grenade to destroy the Trip Mines. Then go down the
lift and make your way down the corridors, killing the Houndeyes as you
go, until you come to a spiral staircase. Climb down 2 levels and kill
the Zombie hiding round the corner. Watch out for the little bug-things
in the water, they bite! Break the crates stopping the machine from
working, then return up one floor. Press the button to activate the
Power. |
| Watch out for some shots of Electricity coming out of one of the
machines, then return upstairs and return to the lift. The lift will
come down on it's own, with two or three Military on it. Kill them then
go up the lift and return all the way back to the room with the Garg,
killing any Military on the way. |
| What you need to do is get the Garg to chase you
down the big tunnel to the right. If he hasn't notice you, shoot him and
run down the tunnel. At the end of the Tunnel pull the Lever to activate
the power, which will destroy the Garg once and for all! Use the door to
the right to safely bypass the Electricity, and board the Tram. Drive
the Tram onto the Turntable. Return to the Track Control room and push
the switch overlooking the Turntable. Then, jump down, board the tram
and leave. Congratulations! You've completed the level! Save you game.
